Concho County, Texas

Aerial application in Concho County, Texas

Concho County sits on the northern edge of the Edwards Plateau, where ranchland and grain fields share the same ground, and aerial application suits both.

We fly from locations in Bay City, Ballinger, Cameron and Brady, Texas.

Where the plateau breaks into grain country

Concho County straddles the northern edge of the Edwards Plateau and covers about 992 square miles.  Paint Rock serves as the county seat, and Eden is the largest community.  The Concho River crosses the northern part and the Colorado River forms its northeastern boundary.  USDA's 2022 farm census tallied 400 farms averaging 1,573 acres.[1,2,3]

Large farms and the rivers and creeks that cross the county can make ground travel slow.  An aircraft flies over the terrain rather than around it.

Do you work in Concho County, around Eden and Paint Rock?

Yes.  Concho County is one of the Texas counties we currently serve.  Call (256) 590-3869 and tell us what is growing there.

Is hilly, stony ground a problem for flying?

Terrain that is hard on a tractor is not an obstacle for an aircraft in the same way.  Steep slopes, creek crossings and poor access are good reasons to consider the air.  Describe the ground and we will discuss how to fly it.

I farm and ranch near the Concho County line.  Should I call?

Please do.  We are happy to hear about land in neighboring counties, and we are working to add more.
