Aerial application in Coleman County, Texas

Coleman County is hill country between the Edwards Plateau and the Rolling Plains, mostly ranch ground with wheat fields, and aerial application can cover it from above.

We fly from locations in Bay City, Ballinger, Cameron and Brady, Texas.

Mesquite hills, small lakes and big pastures

Coleman County lies in a transition zone between the Edwards Plateau and the Rolling Plains, a landscape of rolling hills with mesquite brush and oaks.  The Colorado River is its southern boundary, and Coleman Lake and Hords Creek Lake were built by damming creeks in the north.  The town of Coleman serves as both seat and biggest community, and Santa Anna comes second.[1]

Agriculture census data for 2022 show 1,071 farms on 758,719 acres, with 551,101 acres in pastureland, and livestock made up 85 percent of sales.  Mesquite brush is part of the landscape here, and reaching all of a large pasture on the ground takes time.[3]
